Energy Connections: New Energy Economy creating jobs, innovation and renewable power for SA
The future is so bright for Greater San Antonio that you gotta wear shades. That pretty much sums up the future of our growing community and we’re glad to be contributing in a big way with our New Energy Economy.
Since we launched the New Energy Economy in June 2011, Greater San Antonio has seen seven companies set up shop and contribute to the local economy. Office leases and local hiring of full-time staff and contractors by these companies boosts the local economy.
“We’re about halfway to the $1.6 billion contractually committed in economic impact,” said Cris Eugster, CPS Energy executive vice president and chief generation and strategy officer. “We’re also right on track for reaching or exceeding our goal of creating 1,045 full-time jobs.”
