The Fredericksburg City Council voted Monday to offer to sell 5.8 acres on Hollmig Lane for $505,000 to the Lower Colorado River Authority as the site of a new electrical substation. The $4.5 million substation, which will connect two existing power lines operated by the Central Texas Electric Co-op, is needed to improve system reliability, the LCRA says.
